Alcohol: Single Malt Liquor
Single malt liquor is the result of a long process of fermentation and distillation. It takes place mainly in Scotland being their specialty for centuries. This is a serious liquor filled with magnificent flavors. It is not for the weak of heart or mind.
Types of Single Malt Liquor
The two basic types of single malt liquor are whiskey and scotch. Dont ever confuse beers such as Mickeys with a malt liquor. You might read it on the outside, but that is way different than a single malt liquor.
The name comes from the process of making this liquor. Each distillery has its own distinctive taste and flavor. Even if they use the same process, you will notice a large difference. The flavor of the barely along with the blend master have a lot to do with the outcome.
They are called single malt because the bottle will not be mixed with anything. It is all form the same batch and the same barrel. This means that each batch might not taste the same, but they will not be mixed. You are getting the purest whisky out there.
